Analyst Cell- and Tissue Culture (potato)

Your Contribution
As a Cell and Tissue Culture Analyst, you provide technical support to the activities within the Cell Biology department, such as the production of doubled haploids and plant regeneration from potato cells and tissues. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to the application of innovative laboratory techniques for the production of parental lines and to accelerate the breeding of new potato varieties.

- Preparing (complex) media for cell and tissue culture
- Initiating cell and tissue cultures of potato
- Regenerating in vitro plantlets from plant cells and tissues
- Collecting data in automated files
Your Profile
You enjoy working in a laboratory, have an eye for detail, and possess fine motor skills. Working sterile and accurately is essential in this role. You enjoy following established protocols and can identify areas for improvement. You are also skilled in planning, organizing, and collaborating with colleagues, and you’re not afraid to ask questions to gain clarity.
Additionally, you have:
- MBO+ or HBO education focused on laboratory work
- Interest in, and preferably experience with, lab work in plant cell and tissue culture
- Knowledge of chemicals and lab equipment
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Good command of Dutch and English (spoken and written)
- Ability to independently plan and organize tasks
- A team player with a results-oriented attitude
